This service is a more traditional service which follows the Prayer Book with Holy Communion and hymns.  This congregation are predominantly seniors but for all who attend there is a rich supportive community for those who get involved.  There is a morning tea after the service each week at 9:15am.

At 10am church we enjoy our singing, personal testimony, sharing of God's word and expounding the Bible as part of an informal meeting. There is a healthy mix of people from various demographics who attend.  There is a children's program provided from crèche age to junior high school.  The morning tea following the service at 11:30am is a great time to meet people get to know people better.

Five30 is a vibrant, friendly service. We spend plenty of time worshiping God together in song, hearing and responding to bible teaching, and eating supper or dinner together after the service. More than just a Sunday night church service, we are a community of young and young-at-heart people who want to love God, one another, the wider community, and the world.

What:  Connect groups are small groups that meet in homes usually weekly for Bible study and fellowship. We have a large number of connect groups including couples, men's, women's, young adult and cross-generational groups. Connect group time often includes informal sharing, prayer and encouragement.

Who: All are welcome.

When: There are different groups meeting throughout the week, day time and evenings.

Alpha course

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over seven or ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day or weekend away.

Who:  For people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. Anyone 18-108yrs

What:  An informal seven week course. Christianity Explored gives you time and space to consider the big questions of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith - Jesus Christ.

Who:  For those with children 0 – 10 yrs old

What:  A BRAND NEW PARENTING COURSE.  This course covers areas such as:  routines, fun, values, healthy habits, sleep, realistic expectations.  Identifying your child’s love language, and applying it.  Boundaries, choices, love and limits. Relationships, reflective listening, anger management.  Encouraging responsibility, making good choices, letting go, passing on values & beliefs.  The course covers DVD presentations by Nicky & Sila Lee, Workbooks, and enjoying discussions with lots of other parents. COST $30

As the only charitable provider of free debt management in Australia, CAP exists to address the problem of poverty and social exclusion caused by over-indebtedness.

Their unique 'hands on' approach empowers people to help themselves to get out of poverty and to be released from the fear, oppression and worry generated by overwhelming debt.  They are providing sustainable poverty relief as their service teaches clients vital budgeting skills that will last a lifetime.

CAP's services are provided through partnership with St Stephens, restoring hope and dignity to thousands of Australians overwhelmed by the burden of unmanageable debt.

CAP is now a fast-paced, growing organisation whose vision is to answer the national problem of debt by having at least one CAP Centre in every major town and city in Australia by the year 2021

40 Hour Famine

The countdown is on! What are you giving up?

Who: RAW (grades 6-12)

What: The 40 Hour Famine is a youth movement like no other. Not only do you get to raise much-needed funds for the world’s hungry, you also get to spread an important message to everyone you know – now is the time to end global hunger. What could be better than that? 

A few people have asked us why we give something up for 40 hours as well as donate money. The answer is simple. Giving up something that you love for 40 hours helps you gain an understanding of what it would be like to go without. It’s a chance to do something real while talking to your friends and family about the billion people worldwide who are chronically hungry.

What: Nights to show off your talent or watch your friends perform. Singers, song writers, dancers, actors, poets, film makers...the microphone is open to everyone to share a work of art. Funds raised go to a different charity or community project each time.

Who: Friday Focus welcomes women of all ages!

What: A weekly series of courses run to encourage women in their personal relationships with God, their families and with each other. We aim to be honest and open in our sharing and each group ends with prayer and ministry.

When: Friday mornings during term time:  9.45 - 11.45am (Crèche provided) followed by a light lunch

RAW (Social)

Who:  Anyone in years 6-12

What: At RAW we aim to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment where teenagers can feel safe and loved for who they are, can have fun, make friends, and work through issues of life and faith. We hang out together, read the bible and pray for each other, go on fun outings like laser-tag, movie nights and scavenger hunts, and engage with issues like poverty and homelessness to make a difference in our world.

When: Friday nights from 6-8pm throughout school terms.

What: A holiday Club for children in years K - 5 ( Younger children welcome with a parent )

What: Play time for kids and time to connect for parents.

Morning Milkshake Club

Who: Year 6 to 9

What: MMC is a group of teens who get together to read the bible together and drink delicious milkshakes. Worth getting up for!

When:  Sunday morning during the 10am service. Join us for the beginning of church and then we'll head over to our room together when the kids go to Sunday School.

Glenaeon Retirement

Glenaeon Retirement "Friendship Circles" (Social)

Who:  Retirees beyond Glenaeon welcome.

What: Usually around 50 people come to hear a speaker or explore a topic.  Eg “Cooking Up a Storm” with cooking demonstration, leading to sharing of favourite recipes, eating, and talking about how God wants us to be hospitable and watch out for strangers. There is fun, a delicious homemade morning tea, lots of mental stimulation, and an opportunity for everyone to have their say about the various topics. St Stephens has a wonderful relationship with the Management of Glenaeon Retirement Village, and appreciates the opportunity to come each month. 

When: 10.30am each 3rd Thursday of the month

Real Blokes’ Lunch (RBL)

Who:  Retired - or not too busy - blokes.

What: This is a great way for men who have enjoyed the busy interface with others in work situations, and would love to share social contact with other men for an hour or two. Buy your own reasonable lunch at “The Dish” Restaurant there, and drinks from the bar.  All men very welcome. 

When: 3rd Wednesday monthly at 12 noon

Who:  Mature aged members and friends of St Stephens Belrose.  Everyone is welcome to all the activities, irrespective of age - the young and the not so young.

What: This is a warm, friendly, caring, spiritual and social fellowship.  A lift can be organized if required. Exciting and stimulating monthly meetings include picnics, concerts, trips, dinners, luncheons with speakers etc and also connections with other churches.

Men’s Breakfast

Who:  All men.

What: While this Breakfast is open to all, an 8am start means that the men that gather around cereal and toast and a talk are mostly retired, or shift workers.  Workers on holidays drop in from time to time too!  Sometimes there is a speaker and there is a special emphasis.  In December each year, these same fellows serve the ladies at a special Christmas Breakfast.

Busy Hands

Not only does this group of ladies make garments which are donated to ANGLICARE, but also provide a warm atmosphere while knitting and sewing to share loving friendship and care. The group is held once a month in a private home, providing an avenue for practical care and support while enjoying a chat at the same time.

Stevies (Sunday Services)

Who:  Pre-school - Year 5

What: Stevies is more than traditional Sunday School. This is a time of wonderful learning and discovery about God and what He has done for us, with activities and great, caring teachers. Children attend the first part of the 10 am service with  their families and then leave for Stevies, which runs till the conclusion of the  service (around 11.30am)
