Engaging our World is a Ministry at St. Stephens church, supporting our community to better understand some of the critical issues of our time.

How Do We Engage Our World With These Issues?
‘Engaging’ requires us to be well informed about the issues. This is the most important and first step.
Understanding the issues enables us to expand our interpretation and application of the Gospel.
Writing to politicians, or expressing an opinion in public is greatly enhanced when we are informed.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we honour the call to include, not exclude and to build bridges, not barriers.

You’re invited to an evening service where we’ll have an opportunity to meet a group of young Sydney Muslims and to chat with them informally. It’s a first step in our church developing a relationship with our local Muslim community. Further exchanges are envisaged including a visit to a Mosque for any interested members of St. Stephens later in the year.
